Happy With BK Now?
I know a few days ago everyone was riding him and hating on him including myself. But after the past 24 hrs has he made up for it with his recent moves?

Re: Happy With BK Now?
I have to say my opinion on Billy King has changed tremendously. I always felt he did a good job in the draft, but now in the first trade he's made where he didn't include a draft pick to be able to pull back an All-Star, I think he's helped himself quite a bit. I'm definitely happy with him.
Maybe there was a method to his madness? I mean look at all the ludicrous contracts he gave out:
Eric Snow, Kenny Thomas, Derrick Coleman, Brian Skinner. All of those players have been traded, and he cut the contract years in all of them, so I'd say he did a pretty good job cleaning up his mistakes.
Now the question is, will he be better in the offseason and prevent himself from just throwing money out there in free agency? That's what I'm waiting to see.

Re: Happy With BK Now?
I think this definately helped. Like PP said, he cleaned up most of the big contracts that he gave out. I also agree with PP on the fact that we have to see what he does in the offseason, hopefully he won't hand out more money again

I like the Webber trade, but not the Robinson trade. Why would they trade a max expiring for Rodney Rogers?

Thats what i was always pissed about. Wed sign old guys to extensions for 6 more years, or just give outrageous contracts to people. Im happy to see them go.

Re: Happy With BK Now?
I've never had a problem with Killy King, I always thought he was being criticised too harshly. Some of those deals weren't that bad, they just didn't turn out the way we planned. I don't some of the extensions he gave out either, but I guess it's just a learning process. He won't make any of those mistakes again (hopefully).

This is no different than any other trade he's made so far. In two years, nobody will like it, and we'll be wishing we had Kenny Thomas. I don't think C-Webb helps any of our weaknesses, except providing a scorer when AI's on the bench

It's a lot different. C-Webb adds size, and another consistent scoring threat besides Iverson. On top of the fact that we lose those extra years off of Kenny Thomas' contract. Every other trade Billy King was involved in the Sixers threw away either a future draft pick, or a young player, in this one they did neither.
I think even if Webber doesn't put the Sixers over the top, this trade was a positive.

No, I see what you're saying you're saying that all people do is moan about deals in hindsight. Fact is a lot of the deals King made prior to this people disliked when they happened.

Re: Happy With BK Now?
I like the trade. Think about it this way. In two years, we could be complaining about Thomas being signed for 3 more years overpriced, or we could dangle a 20+ million expiring contract in front of someone. We only need Webber to have 2 and a half good years here, and IMO we would have won the trade by a huge margin.
