What number is Iguodala?

I knew he used to be #4, but now that Webber wears it what does that leave dre-dala?

Re: What number is Iguodala?

Andre now wears #9. Took a while to get adjusted to it during the game Saturday.

Re: What number is Iguodala?

He wears number 9 now because he was the ninth pick in the draft.

After being traded Wednesday night from Sacramento to the 76ers, Webber planned to be more than generous to Andre Iguodala if the Sixers rookie would part with No. 4. It turned out Iguodala was a big fan of Michigan's Fab Five as a youngster, and wasn't going to make it difficult at all.

"I told the trainer, 'Tell the rookie I'll take care of him,' but I never got to talk to him," Webber said. "Then I saw where he said, 'Chris can have the number.' When he said that, I went out and made sure I got him a nice little gift I think a rookie would like. Hopefully, he appreciates it."

The nice little gift was an expensive watch, one Iguodala very much appreciated. Iguodala switched to No. 9, which happens to match his status as the ninth player chosen in June's NBA draft.

Yeah, you have the official Andre Iguodala throwback jersey. After the trade I was extremely happy, that I didn't go out and buy an Iguodala jersey, I'll probably buy one in the offseason when I know what number he'll be wearing permanently.
