Philadelphia 76ers President and General Manager Billy King announced March 5 that the Sixers have placed Matt Barnes (left knee tendinitis) and Michael Bradley (left calf strain) on the injured list and have activated Josh Davis and Willie Green.

Davis was placed on the injured list (low back strain) on Feb. 24 and has missed the last five games. The 6-foot-8 forward has played in 23 games for the Sixers this season, including five starts and is averaging 2.3 points and 1.6 rebounds per game. Davis had previously been on the injured list for 18 games from Dec. 17 to Jan. 24 with left elbow bursitis and has missed a total of 24 games due to injury.

Green, who is averaging 8.1 points and 2.7 rebounds per game this season in 44 games (20 starts), was also placed on the injured list (left heel pain) on Feb. 24. The 6-foot-4 Detroit Mercy spent the last five games on the injured list and has been a DNP-Coach’s Decision nine times. The second-year player enjoyed one of his best games as a professional on Jan. 26, 2005, when he scored a career-high 32 points at Washington.

Barnes and Bradley were both acquired from Sacramento along with Chris Webber on Feb. 23. Bradley has made one appearance with the Sixers while Barnes has recorded four DNP-Coach’s Decisions.

Re: 76ers Activate Davis and Green, Place Bradley and Barnes on Injured List

Yeah, from what I've heard from my Brothers, Jim O'Brien hasn't gotten Matt Barnes (who I think could really help us), or Michael Bradley any real minutes because he doesn't have the time to work four players into the rotation. That's terrible.

Josh Davis, and Willie Green were brought up even though neither will really play. Good thing Willie is running the book drive right now, maybe he could read a few to pass the time?
