OT: Back
I've been reading but since I don't watch college hoops I haven't been able to really participate in the draft discussions. From what I've read, this years draft isn't as strong as other years, and the player we get at 45 may not be able to step into the rotation and help us.
I'm hoping more for little trades to strengthen our SF spot and our bench. I'm excited about having Mo back after watching LB perform in the playoffs. Since LB taught Mo, and Mo can teach AI better PG play, this should be a better season to watch than last years.
Also happy about the CBA being reached in time so that there won't be a lockout. This is shaping up to be a fun summer, and we actually have some hope going into next season now that we have a second star in Chris Webber.
Go Sixers

Re: Back
Congrats on your 300th post.
I think this year's draft is strong, maybe not in star power, but it's pretty deep. I think the Sixers should be able to end up with a player who can contribute as soon as next season. And if they can't contribute the player can be sent down to the NBDL to work on his game.

Oh wow, didn't even notice that. Cool, thanks.
Really? I read the Billy King interview where he was saying this wasn't a strong draft. I mean, BK has had good success with 2nd round picks, so I don't think we'd end up with a scrub, but I'm not expecting a player as good as Willie Green or Korver, either.

Re: OT: Back
Luck with getting two second rounders in the same year that can play? Gotta give BK some credit for that.

Re: OT: Back
I think the draft is pretty deep, at least with players with potential. There will probably be a few high upside, boom or bust players available, which isn't bad considering where we pick. PLayers like Louis Williams, David Lee and Dwayne Jones could develope into nice players and could be available at 45.
