Billy King don't give up yet!

Ever since we drafted 7'6 supposed frame Shawn Bradley, Billy king has gotten a hell alot of critisium. Though you can't blame the guy for picking Bradley, this draft I think was before the time of O'neal, had Bradley any basketball talent perhaps the deal would've been a little less worse then it was. Yes Sixer fans Chris Webber was in that draft, Yes same goes for Paul pierce, guys like Jamison (Antawn) and Robinson (Glenn) was in those drafts as well, but we shouldn't give up on him, and nor should he give up on himself. He is at the brink of breaking down as the Gm, No longer do I see that smile of confience, no longer do I see the swagger that deflected the negative force of the signing of Eric snow, I see a man who's a shell of his former self. He was once a gm that happened to be able to put Allen Iverson around some fine pieces in Matt Geiger (I don't know what happened to him) Dikembe Motombo, Tyronn Hill, Aaron Mckie, basically a bunch of roleplayers, that team went to the finals, we are on the verge of a different team, one that will make things a little more confusing, but looking at it from the life perspective, a little more understanding. Think for a second you and your wife have it, you then have a baby Your the Vets (Allen and Chris) The baby is the iggy sammy and Korver and Green, Your the parents you teach your children you lead them to a world championship as best as you can so they may one day claim such an honorable thing themselves. Billy king do not give up on yourself, it is not too late for your Tender as a General manager to be a sucess, nor is it too late for it to be a failure, but take it fast take it slow, the failure part has came now things can only get better and they have.
Mind not the Hungry and Impatient fans including myself for a first-rounder, or another pick period and get a point guard shooting guard, whatever position of the two allen will be playing in, if Allen's the point you may draft a shooting guard, vice versa. There's also the free agency, not much we can do but there's alot we can afford if the players are willing to accept 2-3 million dollars less, Finley,Marshall just to name some of the few names we can afford with some mircle and hope. Mind not the critisium of the fans, for half of them don't even know what there talking about, while it is true guys like Ollie, Aaron mckie are useless, they weren't so long ago, they were some what sucessful do not feel shame that all did not go well, for it was not bound to be. But the window of Oppurnity is there, the chance for a future was presented by Sacramento and you grasped it, You've done all the right to correct the wrong in your ways and has insured a championship in the future of this town, a town with honorable fans, but most of the time harsh fans, and fans in which knows not what they talked about. Do not give up, you are doing great! Giving us a young core which can last up to 11 more years is quite A phonemonal feat, Sammy will be in his prime this year, Kyle in 1 more year, Green if he gets some major playing time will be a big factor to a huge range of success next year. It is clear you have raised the 76ers as if they were the children and you were the parent, Ai and c-webb will eventually go leaving these young superstars to grab what Ai and C-webb did there best to get them close too, It's not about now sort of, but the future, and it's incredibly bright, to follow in the footsteps of the New Jersey nets is quite a shame, but if that's the price for a world title so be it.
Billy King pride has never meant a thing to you, and because of that stride in feeling it has led us closer to a ring, thank you Billy king for all you have done. Regardless if you win a ring or not, You've brought us closer then we were eleven years ago, barely managing a mere 20 wins.

Re: Billy King don't give up yet!

I thing Billy king show some great things in Philly as bad things.
That’s right, he made great moves but he made bad moves too, as Mckie contract and some others, but have goods too.
Also I thing Shaw Bradley was a player that Philly if used more and keep him he would really help the Sixers but that doesn’t happen and now he have young and talent payer with one mix of experience players that can bring the perfect combination, also I thing Billy now have the perfect opportunity to shine and show what he can do because the FA , the rookie he will get and maybe sign one good player if he have space and maybe waive Kevin Ollie this is the time to see what Billy can do ,if he ended win of those moves or losing it ,also that’s right that in those Billy times we get the finals lets see if in some years we can win it .
In resume ,he brings some excintement in town but always one controversial GM.

Re: Billy King don't give up yet!

Billy King didn't draft Shawn Bradley.

Billy King wasn't a part of the Sixers organization until the 1997-98 season, when Larry Brown came aboard. Before that he was one of Brown's assistants in Indiana. Also Bradley came into the NBA the year after Shaq. If you're going to start a post, that has incorrect information, just push that towards the end.

I love your enthusiasm, it's appreciated, but while I'd give you an A for effort your execution isn't up to par man.

Yeah, that was done during the Katz regime, along with the Barkley trade.

BK's first draft was the #2 pick in the 1997 draft that yielded the Van Horn for Tim Thomas, Anthony Parker and someone else trade.

Don't ever feel a shamed of not knowing something, no one will look down on you if you don't know something. We know you're young, so if you don't know about something just ask questions if we know them we'll help answer them, and if we don't we'll find the answer.

That's a lot better than guessing on something, and acting like you know something that you don't. You could ask a question, that someone else wanted to know, and from that we could have some good conversation that everyone could learn from.
