What do you expect from Webber for the 05-06 season?
To an outsider, CWebb didn't appear deliver much of an impact last season. What are your expectations of him for the 2005-2006 season?
As I look at the Eastern Conference in mid-July, I believe it will be a fight down to the last day of the season for the playoffs is CWebb continues to disapoint.

I'm expecting numbers that go somewhere around 17 ppg, 8 rpg, 3 apg. I don't think that's too much to ask for from a player of his caliber.

If Webber gets his touches in the half court, he'll produce. A lot of people blame him for his ineffectiveness but it's hard for a guy like Webber to get into his game, when he's not getting the ball. I'm going to hold off predictions for his season, until I have a feeling of how he'll be utilized.

I expect Webber to come out very angry and looking to prove something. Coach Brown didn't use him effectively until the playoffs. I hope Mo Cheeks has used the summer to put together a better offense that involves more than having AI run around and the rest of the team getting out of the way.

jpk summarized how i feel. Webber has somethin to prove now, I wouldn't be surprised if he was almost an all star. Didn't he drop 3 straight triple doubles a couple weeks prior to be traded to the Sixers?

Yeah, I think most of last seasons disappointment in us going 17-11 after the Webber trade has to do with O'Brien not giving Webber an offense to work with. He was the Western Conference Player of th eMonth before being traded to us, and was having a great year with triple doubles. Why that is forgotten and his ability is questioned because of how poorly he was used in Philly, I don't know.

Re: What do you expect from Webber for the 05-06 season?
Webber was playing great last season for SAC, he didn't really start to like out of it until he was in Philly. I think Mo will make sure he gets the ball in his hands more often and when that happens, Webber will be fine. He isn't an allstar any more but he can be a very useful starting PF still. I do think if he has any more knee trouble though, he will retire.

I agree with most here, with the right offensive system, Webber could still be a very big factor for us and really help this team.

This is easy.
I expect Webber to be inconsistant and contribute little to our offense much like he did last year.

Any chance he gets waived b/c of the new clause in the CBA?

There's no chance whatsoever, personally that's one of the worst possible decisions that this team could make.
