I'm guessing the combination of Dalembert and Hunter could work, if they play as few minutes together as possible, with Hunter being primarily used as the backup C. I mean using them together offensively would be embarrassing considering how bad they both are on that side of the ball.

Yeah, I agree with you there. I'm hoping that Webber can settle him down like I imagine he will or has with Daly this offseason. The biggest thing here is potential. We went from having one of the smallest front courts in the league two years ago to having 3 guys at or above 6' 10''. Hunter gives us a legitimate 7 footer that can run and jump.
I wonder what Cheeks said during that lunch meeting..between him and Iggy being from Chicago, it's nice to see this work out.

One more thing, Samuel Dalembert and Steven Hunter isn't a good combination.. not even close to it.

(Back from offseason!)
Unlike most of you guys, I think we did pretty well for our offseason signings although we did pay too much for Green and Korver.
For me, if a team can improve their rooster over what they had last season is defenitely a improvement. And philly, what is your reasoning behind Steven Hunter and Sammy a bad combination?

They're both low IQ players, who are extremely raw on the offensive side of the ball. Both players get into foul trouble. Basically what I'm saying is when on the floor together Dalembert and Hunter will be redundant, and their negatives will become pronounced as they work side by side.

Re: Philly aiming for Mediocraty
Okay, this is what I really think about next season:
Chris Webber will continue to be injury prone and will not add anything to our team.
AI will continue to lead the team with his toughness and perseverence enroute to another scoring title.
Dalembert will step up big time and will merit All-Star game possibilities.
Iggy will continue to dazzle us with his electrifying dunks and stellar defense.
The lack of depth and injuries to Webber will keep this team at or just barely above .500. So, a repeat of 04/05 season is in store.

Dalembert and Hunter don't have to play together.

One on one, even one on two, when the guy they call the Answer is on a one-way trip to the basket, you better just foul him. People can hate all day about the number of shot attempts. But, damn, give him props for even getting them up. He's small enough to have every shot contested. That 39% shooting sounds terrible to the regular reader, but have you seen these NBA players lately?"

He's the backup C/PF he will be playing with Dalembert, there's no way around that.
