Re: McKie gone/Houston signed?
Eww... McKie being gone is a good thing, but Houston's knee isn't that far away from Mashburn's. I guess they're feeling that if he has anything left he provides another perimeter scorer.

Yeah...at least he won't be making very much...Hunter is taking up 3.3 mil of the 5 mil MLE, so Houston would be making 1.7mil...that's less than what we were gonna pay for Green. I just hope it isn't a 5 year deal, haha.
Still leaves us with the LLE, trade exception and Mashburns contract.

Dont Korver and Green come out of the MLE. They have only been with the Sixers for 2 years, they dont have their bird rights, rigth?

nah, they were both RFAs, so they didn't count against the MLE. Plus, Green hasn't signed anything since injuring that knee..

All I could find was someone hearing that Houston said his knees felt good again.

Re: McKie gone/Houston signed?
McKie is most likely gone. "Houston has told friends he would consider Miami, Detroit and New Jersey if the Knicks release him." Houston isn't going to end up in Philly. And who knows about his knees?

Re: McKie gone/Houston signed?
Could he possible start at SG? Brings Korver off the bench while still having a perimeter element in the starting lineup.

One on one, even one on two, when the guy they call the Answer is on a one-way trip to the basket, you better just foul him. People can hate all day about the number of shot attempts. But, damn, give him props for even getting them up. He's small enough to have every shot contested. That 39% shooting sounds terrible to the regular reader, but have you seen these NBA players lately?"

Re: McKie gone/Houston signed?
Houston ugghhh. The one thing the Sixers are lacking is another scorer that can create they're own shot. Houston cant do that. Hello Flip!!!!

Houston can create his own shot, and it's deadly. I searched the Knicks forum for that and thats what they were saying about him. Injuries are the problem. If Houston is healed, a 2 year flyer on him for 1.7 million could be a steal. At the very least the Sixers add another shooter who is every bit as good as Korver or better. This move would build bench depth. We still need a starting SF though.
