Expectations for Kyle Korver in 2005-06?

What kind of numbers do you expect Kyle Korver to put up this season? He made a great improvement in his overall game in between his rookie and sophmore seasons, how much more will he improve on?

What do you expect to see from him now that he has his new contract? Will he start? How many minutes will he play? How many should he play?

Re: Expectations for Kyle Korver in 2005-06?

to be honest i expect Korver to regress a lot this year. O'Brien's system was retarded but Korver actually did benefit from playing in the system. i don't think Cheeks is going to be able to utilize him as good as O'Brien...however, he'll be able to utilize C-Webb and Dalembart better, so it's a moot point to me.

I'm expecting similar numbers to last season, if he keeps up where he left off then I think the contract we signed him to was reasonable.

Re: Expectations for Kyle Korver in 2005-06?

The "Effin One" makes a good point. But I think he'll do just about the same as last season.

And I agree with "Only the Strong Survive". He was doing good last season when he was JUST hitting 3's. When he started doing too much, his shot suffered and his THREE became inconsistent especially later in the season when we really needed it.
He did play above and beyond his game, but word to the wise Kyle: focus on consistently hitting the THREE and we will all be happy.

The thing is he had to do more, because people weren't giving him room to put up the three. I really think his shot suffered when he logged too many minutes. Maybe that'll be fixed after a long summer of working out, since he did improve his endurance a lot from his rookie year to last year.

I'd really like to see Korver put the ball on the floor, especially when the defender is coming out on him hard, so he could go in and take a 18 footer. One thing I'd really like to see him do, is a better job boxing out. Not sure what else he can really add to what he already has.

I don't have an actual numbers to throw out, but I expect his scoring to actually go up just a tad this season.
