Sixers:King hasn't understood yet the power of the Miami Heat
It is September 2,2005. Or at least in America, as it turns out the Miami Heat, managed to sign there franchise Player Shaquille O'neal for less money, yet an amount that satsfies his taste for the power that he brings to his purse so often.
While The sixers' more notably Billy King went as scared as hell hearing that Dalembert' is headed towards the Atlanta Hawk's and gave him the 49 million that he wished so badly, now the 76ers' are clearly asking for a high payroll.
Then the stupidity of signing Sixer Center Steven Hunter to a 5 yr 15.8 million dollar contract is amazing.
Why not offer Finley this?
I know Finley is old, and has had some injuries in the past but his value is far higher then that of Hunter's who's inability to excute under the basket, let alone catch the ball is amazing for a guy his size.
What about Matt Barnes and Michael Bradley, surely the two young players must have value if Hunter can draw in 15 million dollars, then these two, may be able to make The Hornets give us Emeka Okafor and Greg Oden.
It is clear that Billy King wants to find the replacment for Iverson for the picture in his mind is clear, without Iverson they wouldn't have made the playoffs.
Wake up ******** without Chris Webber, we may have had a shot at channing fyre, your stupidity is almost as powerful as the shot attempts O'brien gave Webber.
While the 76ers' continue to pursue a replacment for Green the Heat' are set.
Having Acquired James Posey, Jason Williams, and Antoine Walker the Heat have understood the value of money.
Note they let go of a valulable asset in Eddie Jones, so they could win a championship.
Sacrfice to gain.
Is Billy King planning to sacrfice the slim chances that the 76ers' have to win a championship now, so he can win in the future.
And is he trying to find the Next Ai so the so called future can be a blast from the past.
By that I mean 10 yrs of completely misery and despair.
It's up to the Eagles and Flyers to save us now.
Kudos to you Billy King in the past we had 4 sucessfull Organizations that had the power and pride that purely repersents Philadelphians and there pride.\
Now we only have 2.
You are a true Genius.

Matt Barnes and Michael Bradley together cannot fetch Emeka Okafor also Greg Oden is still in high school. Slow down a little and get your thoughts together before you post. You open yourself to alot of harsh criticism

Well I think we payed too much for Hunter we should of not offered this money to Finley, maybe Finley's value was higher but value to this team right now Hunter's value is higher then Finley. Hunter can help this team a lot more then Finley could right now we need the size not more shooting power I have said it be4 and i'll say it again i think a lot of ppl will be suprised in the contribution hunter makes to this team next year and i personally cant wait to see it

I just posted this post in another thread and laughed cause i totaly agree with..Route I-76
....... GIve the sixers a chance....I think this season is going to be exciting. We are gonna see the best A.I. ever. I hate we had to pay Sammy and Korver so much money but King kinda had to(what else was he gonna do lose them). And Jackson I have to admit he sucked. Yeah he could hit a jumper at the elbow sometimes but his athletic skills were terrible and to me, He was why teams where getting easy baskets when the bench came in. I think both AI's, Sammy and Webber gonna have a good year. They are gonna get plenty minutes and its going to be exciting..The needed this summer to get the chemistry together adding Webber midseason.....And I think Hunter will do allright we needed size and youth....... Hell maybe I'm just a die hard Sixer fan .....I CANT WAIT TILL THE SEASON STARTS!!!!
We are gonna own the Atlantic Division!!

Re: Sixers:King hasn't understood yet the power of the Miami Heat
You must be on crack to think we had a shot at Michael Finley. If you look at the teams he had interest in, they were all for dominate teams that could contend for a championship (Spurs, Heat, etc.). Get with it kid, Steven Hunter is an upgrade, centers get paid a lot of money, see Jerome James. Thats the biz, the NBA is making progress with players contracts but Players clearly own the power and their going to get paid, esp. the big men. Barnes and Bradley for Okafor, get off the kool-aid. We'd be lucky to get a 2nd round pick, not the 2nd pick in the draft. If you really want to look at a team that knows how to manage the cap, look at the Pacers. They've contended for years, they haven't put it all into one season like we did. The Heat are going back to mediocrity after Shaq leaves, all they did was win the Big Aristotle lottery. I'm not as excited as I-76 but I see progress from last year.

Re: Sixers:King hasn't understood yet the power of the Miami Heat
The NBA is improving by wasting 15.6 million dollars on centers' who've only averaged 4.3 points throughout there carreer?
