Re: FA News

I wouldn't mind seeing Matt Barnes coming back, especially since it seems like Sacramento doesn't really have a need for him. Eric Williams also wouldn't be bad, anyone know what his contract is looking like?

Moving Ollie for a productive player would be great, wouldn't be that much of a loss since with Iverson still playing 40+ minutes per (I still wish it dropped to 36 or something) Salmons could play the PG when AI is on the bench.

I'm not sure where Barnes would go if they got Williams, so I'm thinking he's the backup plan.

Williams would be the suitable backup for Korver, providing the defense and muscle that Korver lacks. Plus he has a decent shot. More like a George Lynch but with better range. Like the post said though, its a slim possibility. Too much talent difference, plus the Raptors GM would have to know it would benefit us.

So I'm thinking we wind up with Barnes for the rest of the MLE and that's it until training camp. Our starters are going to be relied on to play heavy minutes this season with a bench this shallow..

I still think the team will improve over last year, though.

I don't think Barnes is a bad backup plan at all, though I think Williams would work better with what we have because of what he's capable of on offense. If Barnes could add something to his offensive game, I would prefer him because of his youth.

I don't know if Toronto would turn that down, they are looking for help at the PG spot, especially after that guy they drafted opted to play overseas instead of coming right over. Also Eric Williams became a malcontent last season after he was traded to Toronto, and then it got worse when they weren't really playing him. They might look to move him for anything they can use.

Re: FA News

Any of those players would be nice on our team. Right now we desperately need some solid bench players we can rely on. Eric Williams for Kevin Ollie is a deal I would jump on if it came up and I would like to re-sign Barnes and possibly Anderson as well, they are all hard working hustle players.

Re: FA News

Has any1 seen Matt Barnes play? I can't remember ever seeing play significant minutes in the NBA. I used to watch him at UCLA and he didn't have an offensive game back then, hard to imagine that hes going to develop one if he hasn't by now, hes not soo young, mid to higher 20's, right?

Not looking at his profile, I'm thinking he's about 26 years old. He still doesn't have an offensive game.

Re: FA News

Matt Barnes is a poor man's Iguodalal.

With the exception that our man Iggy actually has an offensive dimension.

Do the Toronto trade Billy King it makes sense.

Ollie didn't produce last year, more then likely won't produce this year

Eric Williams was one of the more confident Point guards in the game untill Toronto picked up his ***.

I liked Williams it was heart breaker to see him go go go to toronto.

Another thing I have to complain about is that the Raptors Gm is pretty stupid.

I mean come on here, He would've benfited if he did the VC trade with us

If we gave them Corliss Williamson Brian Skinner and Kenny thomas think how much stronger there front court would've been.

Williamson would've given them a heart and passion and would want revenge for being traded.

Brian Skinner would give them a defnsive presense in the post.

And Kenny Thomas will give you a double-double each and every night.

And they chose these rebuliding players over draft picks?

Bob Hitchcock is on crack.

Re: FA News

The Eric Williams trade was a slim chance of happening and it didn't. This post is a couple weeks old. What I've read so far is the Sixers are bringing in 4 players for workouts in the next week. One of them is Walter McCarty, but he missed the plane, so he probably is blowing us off. The other one is Andrew DEClerq, and the other two weren't named. I suspect Casry Jacobsen may be one of the unknown two.

Reading what AI is saying and what BK has done and said, it's apparent the Sixers are looking for another backup player for the front court. If they were serious about the backcourt they would have gone with Wagner since he's the best available.

Walter Mcarty baby he needs to step it up and come to philly his 30 point outbursts would fit in well with the team exactly opposite from Detroit

Eric Williams is not a PG.

Who is Bob Hitchcock?
