Dalambert definitly gone?
Quote:
An attempted restructuring of the 76ers also is in broad progress. Confronted with dwindling head counts, a failure to make the playoffs and a murky future, management is committed to rebuilding. In all likelihood, that means Allen Iverson will be sacrificed for reputable youth and numerous first-round draft picks, not a Kenyon Martin-type long-term contract.
The City of Brotherly Love still fervently feels Iverson. Still, more and more of its fans have stopped "paying" homage where it counts, at the gate. At the same time, strictly on account of A.I., the 76ers are the league's second-biggest road draw.
Denver was intensely interested in acquiring Iverson (for the above mentioned package) at trading deadline this past February. Memphis and Atlanta would be foolish not to seize the opportunity and do whatever it takes to tempt the 76ers here and now. Meanwhile, Samuel Dalembert is definite to be relocated. Despite a fairly prohibitive contract, numerous teams continue to find the 7-footer appealing.

Re: Dalambert definitly gone?
I really hope that we don't trade AI for first round draft picks this year.. In fact I don't think we should be trading AI at all. Dalambert I don't mind, as long as we get something worthwhile in trading him that's going to help us rebuild.

Re: Dalambert definitly gone?
I agree, this year isn't a good year to acquire picks, but I guess it all depends on what else Philly would get in the deal. I'm becoming more and more ok with AI not being here, and am willing to say good riddance to Sammy. I like to hear people do have interest in Sam, that'll provide plenty of trade opportunities.
I really want to see what the Sixers will look like after the offseason.

Sammy just doesnt seem like his game is progressing. His BB IQ appears just as low as it ever was too me. I'm ok with getting rid of him if we manage to fill that gap at center his absense will leave. Shav & hunter are not starting centers.

Re: Dalambert definitly gone?
Steven Hunter does everything Dalembert does except Rebound. Did I also mention, that if we started Steven Hunter, it would be our first signifcant low post presense since Derrick Coleman? We were **** in rebounding playing Dalembert, and we were **** without him. So what the **** is the point? Just play the better Steven Hunter.
