If you could keep one player...
If the NBA decided to completely shuffle the rosters on every team and start a roster draft, but they let each team keep one player, who would you keep on the sixers?

AI.
when it comes down to it, he's the only player on our roster who could even come close to singlehandedly making us a playoff contender. His impact even now is only comparable to the elite players in the NBA. Any question other than him is wrong, as assinine as I might sound saying that.

that would prolly be best case senario for the Sixers lol

AI. I don't think Iggy will ever be a superstar.

Allen Iverson is 31. I doubt he'll ever be a superstar again, especially after this year.
Although I'd give an arm to see it.

I'm going out on a limb here, but I really don't think Iggy will be better than AI, in any point of AI's career. It's a gut feeling I have about him. I don't think AI will decline all that much, even when he's really old.

Re: If you could keep one player...
Iggy might finally be better than AI statistically and teamwise when AI's 40. I still say we'll have a better 8 years with AI as the sole remainder from 06 than if we had Iggy in his place.
Iggy's nice but I just don't see him ever having close to the impact a prime or even past his prime AI will have.

Re: If you could keep one player...
I don't think Allen Iverson will decline. It hasn't happened 11 years into the league, what makes someone think it'll happen now. If any declines will be made, it'll be 4 or 5 PPG, but his career average will always be 27.2 PPG.

I think you are missing his point of this thread. I dont see anywhere in this thread anyone saying that Iggy will be a better player statistically, but if you had to keep one player with this franchise going forward over the next 3-8 years, I'd rather have Iggy. In Iggy's 2 years in the league, hes already a better defender than AI ever was
