One player, besides Iverson, that this team's season success rests on.
Besides AI, who do you think this team relies on most to play well, and why?

Rodney Carney, the 76ers are going to need Carney to help Iguodala lock up the wings, if they have a shot at winning ANY basketball games this winter.

Samuel Dalembert.
If he improved any, it would help the team.. but this guy is paid, I doubt he has put in any work. If he worked on his shotblocking (since he can only block shots with his right hand), hands and man defense it'd help a ton.
If he's the same Sammy as last year.. just shake your head.

Well based on the question the Answer has to be Webber, if you look into it hes the other one who usually scores. But with that Said IF DRE Sammy or even CARNEY this year steps up it would really help the success of the team. But I jus dont think they rely on them that much bc they havent really done anything for this team consistently. Well thats not true, Dre has consistently refused to shoot the ball, and Sammy has consistently been in foul trouble lol

Im going to agree with Coatesvillian. Our season hangs on Sammy's continual defensive development. If hes the anchor that hes supposed to be we will be at 500 for the season. If not then we are looking at another bad season as CWebb couldnt defend a tree. Iggy is a close second, I fully expect if AI gives up some of his ball handling duties and Iggy has the ball more, you will see triple doubles alot just as when he was at U o A

Re: One player, besides Iverson, that this team's season success rests on.
I'm going to go ahead with Iguadala, mostly because I hate agreeing with Coates and BEEZ. Dalembert has the ability on defense, but if Iguadala steps up on offense, he has the ability to completely change the chemistry of the team. Iverson doesn't need to give up the ball, Iggy needs to demand it. He doesn't have to get 20, but 17,4ast, 7, and 2 aren't unrealistic numbers for him. If he demands the ball, that takes away from AI's domination, and moves it more towards a more well rounded. A more well rounded offense will suit everybody better, as well as giving AI more space to operate individually.

A more rounded offensive attack thereby inlies of a competent coaching staff, of which we do not have Sliccatt. However, and again I'll say it, if Rodney Carney and Andre Iguodala can lock down the perimeter, we'll see SOME improvement. Not alot, but definately enough improvement for Billy King to keep his job.

Webber can't play D, but that's expected of him, so it's not too bad. Dalembert is supposed to be an anchor, and if he can't do what's expected of him, that's trouble.
