How bad do you want Webber out of Philly?
The way it looks now, we know he isn't going to give us any production this year and could be one big headcase for the team.
If we cant' trade him, I think we should just buy out his contract and give more playing time to the younger guys like Randolf and Carney.

I think he needs to go. Bench him and let the youth progress. Nobody wants his contract :-\

Nobody wants a 20 million plus expiring contract and the chance to re-sign a guy averaging 20 and 10 for the veterans minimum

Re: How bad do you want Webber out of Philly?
I say if he's not playing, sit him out and hope to trade him next season.
Also I don't think Webber's the type of guy who would accept the veteran minimum, if he doesn't understand why he's not on the floor in the fourth he most likely won't understand why no one's offering him a big contract.
He was a 20 and 10 player, but if you ask his knees they'd tell you that was a long time ago even though it was only last year.

NO!
1. Webber will not resign here for the veteran minimum he is obviously NOT HAPPY here.
2. His 20 points you are talking about are overshaddowed by the fact that he gives up more points than that.
I truely believe Webber is not injured right now and we are searching for a move and he is just sitting out until somewhere is found to ship him.

Well then buddy you need to be a lil clear bc your recent posts and attitude about Webber would suggest you still want him here and were being sarcastic with the big SURRRRRRRRRRE at the end.

The way I see it, Iverson is the one that needs to go. I would think after 10 years of Iverson Philli fans should realize that as long as the team is built around him, the team won't be winning any championships. You can fiddle with the rest of the team all you want, but as long as AI is the man in Philly, it will always remain a mediocre team at best.

This team aint gonna win a championship if you trade him. They wont even be competitive if that happens. If you cant build a team around Allen Iverson you cant build a team around anyone plain and simple. and IF AI ever does get traded (which he wont) you will get to see that.

Trade A.I. for young budding talent. Let Webber sit on the IL crying until his contract wipes out and you can go shopping.

Re: How bad do you want Webber out of Philly?
I think AI needs to integrate his game more into the offense. I said this in the offseason and I'll still stand by it. It doesn't do anyone any good if he's handling the bulk of the scoring while everyone else is standing around like union workers.
I feel that even in games where he's shooting a high percentage it's not a good thing for the team, because the offense becomes stagnant and there's way too many jumpers. Outside jumpers = equal long rebounds, which often times equal fast break points for the opposition.
This team can score, but the way they go about scoring does not lend itself to a consistent offensive unit. A lot of it seems like straight up pickup ball, because I don't think they setup many plays at all, just five guys freelancing.

Let's see, I can build a team around Tim Duncan, Lebron, Nowitzski, Carmelo, KG, ........ I don't know what exactly you're getting at with that statement. AI is a great player, but he does not make the players around him better. You don't build teams, well, championship teams anyway, around players that can't get the most out of his teammates. The Sixers either rebuild now or rebuild later. Besides Iguadala there are basically no major pieces in place right now.

I agree with that Coates...Its just makes me mad when the other players just watch him and pass the ball right back when A.I. tries to give the ball up. This team can score like hell and then they go colder than a polar bears toenail just as fast and let teams come back on them. That zhit erks the hell outa me!!!!
Oh and BTW I agree Route Webber's not hurt he is just sitting out like the crybaby he is, and we are trying to ship him. I HOPE YOUR RIGHT
