we missed Oden / Durant by 3 Losses

who knows, if Iggy had been injured sooner, we prob could have lost 3 more games and been celebrating having the #1 or 2 pk right now.

Portland, 32-50; Seattle, 31-51

Philly, 35-47

Portland and Seattle was just fortunate the balls went their way. So much for the Celtics tanking the season and they dropped to #5. It doesn't always work like the lottery indicated last night. Just play the games out and hope for the best.

Re: we missed Oden / Durant by 3 Losses

Blame the Sixers. If I was Mo Cheeks, I would try to win every game I could too. They didn't give him the security of his job until the end of the season. What does he suppose to do when his job may have been in jeopardy? Also, Iguodala may have not flourished as much if they went into tank mode and cut down the minutes of the starters. Don't get me wrong, I would love Oden or Durant for the immediately impact that they would have made, but it is what it is and you hope that you get a player with one of the three first round picks.

The bigger issue is that they keep Iverson too long. This rebuilding mode should have started years ago.

Re: we missed Oden / Durant by 3 Losses

Here's the thing, even with our surge late in the season, does anyone really think this is a playoff team next season?

Re: we missed Oden / Durant by 3 Losses

they'll be somewhere in the 8-10 seed range, I think.

Re: we missed Oden / Durant by 3 Losses

I'm on the bandwagon that Starbury started, I want Thaddeus Young. If we get him in the long run it'll be as good as if we had a higher lottery pick.

We have three picks, so while not getting #1 or #2 sucks I think there is potential to have a nice draft day, I wouldn't even mind using Carney along with one of the latter firsts to try and trade up.
