Final Score: Sixers 101 Heat 84
Tonight the Heat traveled into Philly minus big man Shaquille Oneal who was just traded to the Phoenix Suns for Forward Shawn Merion. The lowly Heat have been a disaster this season, garnering the worst record in the league. Even still, a team with Dwayne Wade can still be a dangerous team, and the Sixers didnt take the challenge lightly.
Once again tonight, we saw a spirited performance from youngsters Lois Williams, Rodney Carney, Thaddeus Young, and Reggie Evans. Evans continues to impress by coming off the bench and adding instant rebounding and hustle. He finished with 8 points and 14 boards in just 25 minutes of play. This guy has found a real groove for himself in this role and is playing fantastic.
Thaddeus Young got another start, and looks like he has secured that position for the time being. He had 11 points on 8 shots, and 7 rebounds.
Iguodala, who started the first half very slowly, heated up in the second half and finished with 25 points and 8 rebounds. Andre Miller was also consistent again with 21 points and 7 assists.
The highlights of the game were poster style dunks of Carney on Dwayne Wade, and then Wade returning the favor over Carney later in the game. Lou Williams also had a very nice dunk on a numbers fast break.
Good solid effort overall for the squad tonight.
