76ers @ Magic (3/21)
I swear..
The Sixers have wasted so many opportunities so far in this game to come back. Missed baskets, charges, turnovers, etc.
The Magic are killing with the three point shot going 8/12 from beyond, and lead 43-25.

Eventually you need to learn to stop doubling off of the perimeter shooters. They have a bunch of guys who can hit open looks, but if you keep a man on them not many of these guys can create their own offense.

Okay..
There's nothing you can do here. Not only are the Sixers getting outplayed but the game isn't being called evenly on both ends by the officials.

Re: 76ers @ Magic (3/21)
This is a learning experience. This is why I'm not as concerned about who the first round matchup is as I am that the Sixers win as many games as possible. While it'd be fun to see the team win they don't necessarily matchup well with any of the teams on the top in a seven game series. They can make things exciting, and maybe steal a game or two to force a series to six games. At this point I'm fine with that, and I hope a lot can be learned from that experience.
While teams might not shoot as well as the Magic did from the perimeter the Sixers perimeter defense needs to improve. They give way too many open looks by doubling down. My approach in situations like this would be to go against Howard man-on-man. At times you can't cheat and have a man double on him when the ball comes but only at certain points. It's not always an approach you'd want to go with, but considering their ability to shoot the ball it's something you have to consider. Outside of Turkoglu and Dooling they don't have players who can consistently create their own offense off the dribble.
Turkoglu provides a huge mismatch problem against us considering his size and athleticism. While he's able to shoot the ball, he's also able to put the ball on the floor and drive. There aren't many players who can stop what he does, hell there aren't too many wings that are better than him.
Really tough game to watch too. This game has been on the other side of 20 for most of the second half. Hopefully the Sixers bounce back strong against New Jersey tomorrow night.

You'd think that they'd match up really well with orlando. Dalembert and Evans are good bodies to throw at howard, and it allows Cheeks to live out his small ball fetish.

Re: 76ers @ Magic (3/21)
It's hard to play small ball against a team who has three guys in their starting lineup 6'10 and up.

Yes, but two of those guys are softies. Iguodala and Young, I thought, wouldn't do bad against the other two.

LMAO!
I hope your team and the rest of the NBA continues to think like that. It will be easier to win in the playoffs.
Good game by the way.

Re: 76ers @ Magic (3/21)
Rashard Lewis is soft, but Turkoglu never has been. On top of that he's one of the most difficult matchups in the NBA for any team.
