The Philadelphia 76ers look to continue their recent success against the Miami Heat on Wednesday night as the Atlantic Division foes meet for the third time this season.
Philadelphia has won six in a row in the series since an 82-77 home loss on March 20, 2001. The 76ers have won 13 of the last 15 meetings over the Heat and lead the series, 39-25.
The Sixers opened their season on October 28 with an 89-74 home victory over the Heat as Allen Iverson scored 13 of his 26 points in the fourth quarter. On December 5 at Miami, Iverson scored 35 points and Philadelphia nearly blew a 19-point third-quarter lead before holding on for a 93-90 victory.
Iverson did not play in Sunday's 94-86 home loss to the Utah Jazz due to a swollen right knee that has bothered him most of this season. Iverson sat out for the second time in three games and might not play again until January.
Without Iverson, Philadelphia fell to .500 for the 11th time this season. The 76ers got 16 points from Kenny Thomas and a season-high from rookie Kyle Korver but allowed Utah to shoot 52 percent (31-of-60).
Miami enters Wednesday on a season-high four-game winning streak and is 9-8 since losing its first seven games.

26-20 Miami after he first quarter. We overcame the first few minutes and are sticking around.
Robinson has 9 on 4-5 shooting and Thomas has 9 as well.
