Whoa!!!
Hopefully this will help you rest better tonight.
It was Iverson's
left index finger that he injured back in March.
This injury was his
right middle finger that was broken this time.

Every indication that I'm aware of is that AI has long since rehabbed and healed from his earlier hand injury.
It is obvious that he is not taking care of his body.
Granted it's not something that he's been known for, but lets cut him a break. He has been making an effort to take better care of his body this summer. Maybe it will last, maybe it won't. But he's making the effort these days. That's all we can ask.
I agree that Iverson's body, over time will start to wear down. That comes with age. But the things that have happen to him recently with these hand breaks, you have to really look at as freak accidents. At least he's not out throwing punches at folks on his yacht.
As far as I can tell, he's the most well conditioned athlete in the league. He's logs 44 minutes on a nightly basis (sometimes on back to back nights), and still has tons of energy to elevate his game in the 4th quarter.
I'm not saying the guy is perfect, but to say Philadelphia deserves better is stretching it. He's makes this team watchable. He makes this team a good team with a good chance of winning games.
There's going to be a lot of things to complain about regarding Iverson in the future. History tells us that. But at least let's wait for something to actually happen before we crucify the guy.
As for Buckner, I admit I was never overly enthused about us signing him. The money we gave him was definitely a joke. But every indication from the first few days of camp is that Buck was looking pretty good, and the coaching staff had been very pleased with him.
I've never been impressed with his offense (or lack thereof), but I'm willing to give him a chance to get healthy, and show what he can do defensively. Not much else we can do with him. We locked ourselves up to him with that 6-year contract. That's something we'll have to ride out.
