Iverson can and has played point guard. He started his career as a point guard. And the last two seasons he's been playing more and more point guard. Especially once Eric Snow goes to the bench.

If he were on a better team you might see him stay at point guard and be more like a quicker Stephon Marbury.

Iverson can play point guard very admirably, but he is also the most creative shot-maker in the league. Would you waste his scoring by putting him at the point or just let him get 8 assists as a passing 2?

yes they all can
but doesnt mean thats their best position
and i dont mean like theoritically mutombo can play PG
i mean these guys can actually suceed in those positions
they are just better at their usual positions

He probably should have played PG tonight. He was 2-21 against the Knicks. Ouch. That's probably the worst shooting performance I've ever seen from a superstar.

I didnt know you, the former mod like me has such knowledge as uch a young age. I must admit if 4 years ago, my knowledge in terms of scouting basketball may not be as good as you, but good young 21 years old man here.

I have to say, now I m 25 and I am in my prime, so I think I am better than you for a few steps at least.

Tim Hardaway was 0-17 one game when he was considered to be on that same echelon (or near it).. other than that though, yeah it was a tough night for Iverson.. I was flipping through the games and only caught a second of the NY/PHI game, but Iverson missed 4 shots in 16 seconds, culminating with an airballed three pointer.. everyone has bad games I guess.

Bad Bartons

Iverson can play the point but he really is not a good one.

He makes the same kind of passes from the 2 and gets about as many assists as he would at the point.

Iverson is great at creating his own shot but he is way behind true point guards in creating shots for his teammates.
