Philly/Det trade
Detroit does a sign and trade with Rasheed Wallace and trades him to Philly for the number 9 pick. The Pistons with that pick draft Jameer Nelson. They can also resign the cheaper Memhet Okur and get Darko some more playing time. Philly gets Rasheed Wallace, a philly native to match up with Dalambert inside in order to make a run for the playoffs in the east.
Detroit
PG Hamilton/Nelson
SG Billups
SF Prince
PF Okur/Darko
C Ben Wallace
Phily
PG Snow
SG A.I.
SF Mckie
PF Rasheed
C Dalambert

I think that if Detroit can sign Rasheed to a decent contract they are going to hang on to him. He can give Duncan and Garnett fits and in the east, he would be one of the best PF if not the best. I don't see them trading him for a pick. Memhet Okur might be on his way out if Rasheed stays.

As a Sixer fan, I wouldn't do this trade. If we trade the pick, it'd have to be something that put us in the hunt for the title. This won't, so we're better trying to do our best to add talented youth to the roster.

No way, Rasheed is NOT worth the #9 pick by himself, and there is also no way this trade can happen because the Sixers are over the cap. Detroit will have to take back equal value in contracts, which is why this won't work.

I wouldn't trade Rasheed for a 9th pick. Carlos Delfino is coming we don't need another guard. After the first few picks there is nothing of great value in this draft so we might as well keep the best all around big man left in the east. I would rather try and trade Okur instead of losing him. We have 8 million and the mle so I would hope we could keep our current team and add Delfino.

76ers are over the cap, they can't take on Rasheed without sending out Kenny Thomas or another highly paid player.

Yeah Rasheed isn't worth the 9th pick. Do you think Rasheed is a star? I think he is a good player but he isn't "great" enough to be worth the #9 pick.

IMO this a weak draft so yes he would be worth it. Plus if we can re-sign him then why trade him. He fits in D perfectly. Like someone said if you had to sign and trade anybody I would rather it be Okur.

I am not saying that he is the greatest player in the east. he is a great teammate, great defender, he can score and he fits with the game plan that brown uses so I think that he is better than the number 9 pick

He may be worth the number 9 pick to the Pistons (or their fans) but I don't think he is worth the #9 pick for the Sixers. Rasheed doesn't seem like the player who will work well with Iverson and fit the Philly team. Rasheed may be more valuable to the Pistons but he still isn't worth that much to the Sixers IMO. The trade will never happen due to the salary cap anyway.
