Willie Green
After seeing the responses on Samuel Dalembert's and Kyle Korver's respective threads, I've decided to try to do the same for the players under contract for the Sixers. This way we can get an idea of what everyone expects each player to become.
So in following the trend, I ask: How good to you expect Willie Green to become? Can he be a starter? Or is he a sixth man? Is he a good player? Or, is he a player who just made the most out of opportunities on a bad team?

I dont know if I see him as a starter or a full time starter. Honestly, him embellishing the Troy Hudson or Bobby Jackson type role, with the occasional spot start. His full talents would totally utilized in this role.

I see Willie as the type of guy that would be a spark off the bench.
He is a player that people always want to be a starter, and want to lead the team, but he doesnt quite have that much talent.
Years back the 76ers had Dana Barros, he was the same type of scoring, slashing, energetic small guy, whom was the star of the team. But he simply didnt have the talent to lead a legitimate playoff team.
Now put Willie with the right guys around him, and like BEEZ said, he could become a poor mans Bobby Jackson (if we are like, he would become just like Bobby J). But I dont want this guy to be one of the "main" guys on the team, because then he will turn into a Jason Terry. And we all see how the Hawks are.

Bad bad memories, thinking that we had two second rounders only to find out we had none, was very dissapointing
I've always thought Willie Green is the perfect sixth man for the Sixers, he brings energy to both ends of the court, and he simply knows how to score the basketball. Though, I don't think he has much potential to get better than what he is, in terms of being a starter. He's a solid guy that'll give everything he has, every night. He definitely needs to work on his handle, and being more consistent on his outside jumper. The one thing he definitely doesn't need much improvement in is his penetration skills.
The thing with Willie, is with this being his last year under contract, the Sixers could face losing him after the season. While I like Willie, I stated elsewhere on this site, that I wouldn't be willing to give him anything more than $3 mill per, because at this point he's nowhere near being a MLE player.

I think a lot will be determined by this year. Either Willie will develop into that team spark, and enjoy that role, or he will develop into a scorer off the bench who craves more playing time.
A basketball player has to accept certain things in his career, if Willie can accept that the 76ers will use him as a 6th man, to be a spark, to penetrate, then this relationship will go smoothly.
But if Willie has breakout games where he puts up solid numbers, and people start asking why he isnt starting, then he might start to think he is better then everyone in his head.
He seems like a hard working, honorable guy, who would not let his head get too big, but I think this year will have a large role in his future on this team and in hte NBA.
