welll.

A win is a win. Even if you do go grey during it. Saw some nice things, we won because of hustle. Skinners 14 bounds along with TMacs 14 bounds really helped.

Lets just say after Iverson made taht shot, phew, I asked myself what other player in the league would have shot that, and made it. He can drive me nuts, but something like that makes me loveh im.

The defense was alright. As BEEZ stated before , e don't have a backup point guard. But we managed to make it alllllright.

Aaron Mckie is the only player who can shoot a jump shot? Is that correct? CUz it sure drives me nuts when Eric Snow misses a 15 footer consistently.

Ketiher Van Horn looked good, still has to get the to's down, but he is really coming along in the offense and showing Matt Harpring like hustle.

YEA SIXERS BACK TO .500

A win is a win. Today's apt motto.

Reading between the lines of the press conference after the game, it seems that Brown can't wait to get his veterans back, McKie moves to much more guard play and Salmons will sit.

At this point, with only these healthy players, they are an average NBA team, about equal in strenghts and weaknesses. In theory, they should improve with more personnel, but interactions and minutes will be dicey for a while.

Defensively, they were rarely in the famous "lock down" mode of two years ago. They seemed to be working hard. Allen and Cassell can score on anyone. Kuckoc was red hot.Even when they get the full complement you don't have an offensive and defensive squad , like football, so something will have to give.

Van Horn will have to play alot, and hopefully get suitable defensive match-ups. I believe he is a better jump shooter than he has shown thus far. Everybody except MacCullogh has missed the chippies in the first two games. I can not explain this, perhaps others have an explantion(more than "they suck ho ho ho", like on that numbskull site, please).

This has been about what I expected thus far, although the subtle but noticeable style change for Iverson is a fascinating subplot. Can he become the part time point folks yearn for?He is going to be on the court. for sure. It is all mental. He guards the point or the outside guard , as opposed to the more often post -up type guard, already. Time will tell.

You would think the with the humongous rebounding edge, we should have one this game comfortably. But one thing is still true with the Bucks, they still have the offensive firepower to close the gap in a hurry with their perimeter shooting.

This was one of those character building wins that we had to fight for, IMO. The Bucks kept fighting and would not go away, while the Sixers rose to the challenge and answered every Buck run.

I read some encouraging news from Larry Brown that Buckner and/or DC could be ready to suit up by next Wednesday. Not that I want to see anybody rushing back from injury, but that would be a huge boost to get some reinforcements. Nothing definite, but a possibility. I'll try to post a link if I can find one.
