I'd be happy to take him off your hands. I think Lebron was a very legitimate choice for anywhere from late first round to late second. There are a plethora of do-it-all, high-scoring wings still on the board, but I'm not sure I'd put any of them above Lebron. The fact that he's a skilled playmaker and strong rebounder in addition to being a high-volume, clutch scorer elevates him above most of the other guys, in my opinion.

He could be playing better right now, but you have a player who averaged 30 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists on great shooting from the field and the line (2006 Lebron). And he's a player, who IMO, would be a lot better on a talented team than on the one man show he's on now. His approach to basketball is perfect for this type of league.
Anyway... tkb picked over 4 hours ago, does that mean I can pick now?

He gets two picks... the clock started at 6am.... it's only 10am, he picked at just before the clock started.... so I think that he still has like 10 minutes left....

thanks for the support fellas...i was tinkering with the idea of using him as my pg...the only pg that matches up with magic in terms of freakish versatility...

Aargh. I wanted Walton...he went lower last year, so I had high hopes of snagging him with my 2nd rounder. Ah well.

Why? Well, the one year guideline was the factor in that decision. Walton in 1977 played one of greatest seasons from a center in the history of Western Civilization. He was on the All-NBA Second Team, All-Defense First Team, and he led an underdog Portland team to a championship. He was so great that year that he won the 1978 MVP based mostly on that season.

True dat . . . though he still only played 65 games. One great center still left out there, other players who are top 5 at their position too. I was wondering when he and a couple of other injury players or younguns would go.

Walton went too early in my estimates. He's a great player no doubt, but I think that there are at least 50 players better than him.

I thought about him but his best season might not be highly regarded (obvious reason) and I wanted a defense/rebounding/fast break/passing center.

At his peak, there are not 50 players better than Walton, at his peak he could lead certain teams in points and assists and lead the league in rebounding and blocked shots. That's basically what he did on a championship winning team. The problem with Walton is that he had a two year peak, but that doesn't matter here.
