i'm planning for him to be my starter...i feel that rasheed does have his issues, but most of his problems were left behind in portland...went to two finals and won one against the lakers...i feel that he was probably the best post defender in detroit, but ben got all the credit...it was ben with the blocks and boards, but rasheed who manned up against the oppositions best offensive post player...

has a good low post game, good perimeter game that will open the lanes for dantley, james, and parker and was/is a superb interior defender...rebounds decently also...also brings the "attitude" that my team needs...

Re: Dr. Seuss' Legends GM Draft - SIGNUP/Discussion Thread

pg: tony parker
sg: joe dumars
sf: lebron james
pf: rasheed wallace
ce: nate thurmond

6th man: adrian dantley

my team is a half court team that will run when the circumstances permit...i have tony and lebron who are two players that are great at getting to the rim, and i have wallace and dumars who can hit the long ball...thurmond was a 20ppg scorer in his prime...then i have a 30ppg scorer in dantley who will come off the bench to light up the oppositions 2nd units...

i feel that i have a tremendously balanced team that will base their offense on the drive and dish principle...although, i could run the traditional inside-out game with rasheed or lebron in the post...and everyone but lebron and dantley are/were superb defenders...

forgot to add that my team is also very good in terms of ball handling...parker, dumars and james were all great ballhandlers and for a pf, rasheed was one of the best...except for thurmond, as a group, my team handled balls like no others...

Re: Dr. Seuss' Legends GM Draft - SIGNUP/Discussion Thread

Good team, I was hoping to steal Dantley late thinking no one would pick him... Same with Mark Eaton but he clearly got picked. Also, the best shot blocker "statistically" only play like 15 minutes a game that season, and go into foul trouble really quick, so he's only good if you're in deperate need for blocked shots off the bench.

The only thing about your team bootstrenf is... Tony Parker and LBJ?

what about parker and lbj???

can i assume you are referring to their lack of an outside shot??? or how about their poor free throw shooting???

true true, but they can truly get to the rim at will and both are great at dishing once the 2nd defender has committed on the the help rotation...and what parker and lebron lack at shooting, dantley, wallace and dumars can make up with their shooting...with the amount of points parker and james gets in the paint(at a high clip nonetheless), i will gladly sacrifice a bit of outside shooting from those positions...

He's all-time best bpg and I think I know who you're talking about.... I'd prefer my white guy in the middle.

Especially since in head to head play, he's held Kareem to just 13ppg. How's that for defense?

Re: Dr. Seuss' Legends GM Draft - SIGNUP/Discussion Thread

When you look at who's the greatest shotblocker ever statistically you need to look at what they did on a per minute basis (providing they played a decent amount of minutes which over 20 per game is), and when you do one name stands way above the rest, and it isn't Eaton.

Re: Dr. Seuss' Legends GM Draft - SIGNUP/Discussion Thread

MicCheck, you have a fantastic backcourt but your frontcourt is going to get annihilated. You have no one in the paint. Schrempf is a perimeter guy and a crappy defender. Hawkins isn't going to fare to well against the top 10 centers of all time. Let alone dealing with the top
