Yeah punk, I was about to pick him. He's one of the most underrated players of all time and I think should be a Hall of Famer. Good scorer, and a great rebounder and defender. Him and DeBusschere had some great battles in Bullets/Knicks playoff series.

Damn, Roundfield got picked. Another guy I was going to pick. Another very underrated player. Great defender and good scorer and rebounder.

I selected Norm Van Lier. With all these great defensive players being picked, I'm surprised Van Lier was still available. He was a 3-time All-Star, 8-time All-Defensive team, and a very good playmaking point guard.
In 1970-1971 he averaged 16.0 ppg, 10.1 apg, 7.1 rpg, and played great defense.

Gus Johnson could play center but he is 6'6" so I dont want him being killed.

At the rate that this draft is going, I'm gonna be out of the country before it finishes!

Thanks for selecting Paul Westphal for me Sharpie. I'll be PM'ing my next pick along at some point, since I'm still out of town.
I nabbed Westphal at almost this exact spot last year (late 6th round) and was happy with it. I think he's a pretty good value at this point: a play-making guard who can carry an offense through bad stretches. I always thought of him as a more efficient Maravich, and never got why Pistol always goes 2-3 rounds ahead of him in these sorts of drafts.

Westphal was a solid pick this late. I went with Derek Harper for defense, but had Westphal up there with him.

Chicago is another team where the backup forwards are probably better than the starting forwards . . . .Dan Roundfield and Marques Johnson are better forwards than Kirilenko and Camby though they are pretty much one position players unlike Kirilenko and Camby. \
Now I have to go to plan B.

Well you'd think the guy with the second most assists in NBA History would be picked earlier but for some reason he is highly under-rated.
BTW what do you guys think of my Tom Chambers pick? And look who hes dunking on in the picture..my next pick Mark Jackson!
