The one thing that worries me...

Next year:

San Antonio will still be a powerhouse

Dallas will be trying to defend their championship

Sacremento will be a 50+ win team with a full season of Artest

Minnesota will probably improve to please Garnett

Denver will remain a scrappy team

The Clippers will now have deep playoff expierence

The Lakers will probably be improved

The Grizzlies will remain a tough team to beat

NO, Utah, Seattle and Houston all might have playoff shots.

The west is not getting weaker. With Nash and Marion a year older, Amare better come back in MVP form.

**** guys, I am so pissed. We had such a great chance this year. I can't get to sleep. I'm so wrapped up with this team I should go work for them or something.

We'll be fine. If Amare is 80% of what he was we are better than any of those teams. And wtf.. Marion a year older? He'll only be what? 28?

Nash and Marion will be no worse off coz of age. Nash is a smart player his body doesnt particularly get abused and he takes care of it at every possible moment, like when he rests his back when hes on the bench by lying down with the towel. As Carbo said Marion will only be 28. The Suns will be back stronger than ever, and will be contending with a stronger team than last season or the season before, now thats something for other team to be scared of and us to be very very excited about.

Re: The one thing that worries me...

Teams are always expected to get better, but someone is always going to falter. This year was supposed to be the playoff years for Golden State and Denver. Both teams underachieved. It will be hard for Seattle, NO, Utah to move up in the rankings. The Clipppers might lose a player, you never know. Cassell will be back, but I imagine they will be changed a bit, whether that be trading Maggs or losing Radmanovic. I don't see the Lakers improving a heck of a lot. I don't see Minny improving a whole lot either, being that they are so strapped for cash with not many great pieces to trade. Every year you could make a list of teams that are supposed to improve, but it only happens for half of them while the others actually regress.

Re: The one thing that worries me...

I'm worried about our effort and lack of adequate defense. Honestly, we have to play much better defense... D'antoni has done great, but we have neglected the D so much. Avery brought a defensive and offensive game plan to the Mavs, and its paid off compared to Nelson's small ball of previous years. Things have to change. We have to tweak our game, we need much more help on defense.
I was also suprised house wasnt used much in playoffs... but offensive firepower with weakness on defense hasn't worked... Sure, we can score and score and score, but even so, we beat out teams what 130 to 123, wasnt that the suns clips 1st game score? Our game is much more prone to failure because of the small front line and defense.

I'm a loyal suns fan, don't think wrongly there.
Marion defends SF/SG, Kurt & Amare rotate on defense to PF and C.

Mike has got to realize NBA isn't exactly euro basketball, please please D'antoni, we love you and all, but teach/preach/emphasize Defense!!!!!
Bring in a defensive coach or something, or perhaps a Bruce Bowen-esque player (Draft pick/s should be for any defensive athletes).

This is all IMO. Feel free to discuss any issues that may arise and such. Props to suns achievements this year
