Suns reportedly interested in trading up for...
Rodney Carney, Saer Sene or Thabo Sefolosha? With our 2 picks, of course.
First I heard about being interested Carney. And it's funny, cuz it says Suns wanna move up for 2 players they're most interested in but it names 3 players. I liked Carney up till I hear he was really 6'4, and about 6'5" 1/2 with shoes on. Thats a pretty big drop from 6'7" which he was listed for. No idea who Thabo is and why we'd move up for him or Sene. I don't want total projects.
Also, brings up that deal with Chicago for Marion involving the 2nd pick.
scroll all through past that deadline stuff and you'll see the paragraph. This is from June 18th. I missed it.

Marion is staying right here.
I'd like to stay put and try to draft both Sene and one of the other guys. Although I agree 6.4-6.5 is kinda short for an NBA 2 guard.

Yeah, doubt we trade Marion. Chicago doesn't have the cap space till July 1 anyway.
I always thought of Carney as just a SF. I didn't think he was THAT great of a shooter to be a SG. But I see he is listed at either or. He plays much bigger than he is. He would be awesome to see in our system.
I don't even want to touch Sene. 2 kids from Uconn (Boone or Armstrong) or draft next best athletic 2 or 3 whereever we're at.

Now im hearing we are interested in moving up for Adam Morrison. I think he would be great on the Suns, he can really shoot and move well without the ball. However to move up to grab him, what would we have to trade. Most likely going to be something to chicago.

Six Teams In Hunt To Move Up To Draft Morrison?
20th June, 2006 - 2:57 am
DraftExpress - Information DraftExpress.com received on Monday says that as many as six teams are currently in the hunt to trade up for the #1 or #2 pick, and that it's likely Adam Morrison that they covet.
The six teams are Minnesota, Boston, Houston, Phoenix, Portland and Charlotte. Morrison could very well conduct workouts with the teams that appear most serious about trading up in the draft to get him.

Bah, they don't know what they're talking about. If we moved up, we'd take LaMarcus, Thomas or maybe even Gay over Morrison.
They also had a rumor about us trading Matrix to shave off salary but pick up more salary in Chandler, which makes no sense..even for either team, since they'd have nothing inside without Chandler.

Yeh its just fabricated rumours. It's good to think of the possiblity if moving up to that position but then you look at what we would have to give up and i cant make that choice. The draft is going to be very interesting next year. I hope Atlanta get about the 4th or 5th pick lol.

oh yeah definitely. . I don't think it would take THAT much, Maybe Barbosa, and our 2 picks? Or 2007 one and one of the two may be able to do it. I don't think they'd want Marion,
The way I look at with the Hawks pick; without the lottery they'd be picking 4th which is outside of the top 3, which takes away protection, but I think next yr they can only get better which pushes our pick further down. Which takes away the excitement over that...for me anyway

This draft is full of nobodies. Marion for any 1 or 2 of these guys would be a mistake.

Yeh however i dont expect Atlanta unless they sign a free-agent to improve greatly. Harrington will prob be gone, Josh Smith will be better, i doubt Sheldon Williams is going to be a huge difference maker, JJ will be the same and Marvin will have a better year which will improve their wins, but i still think they are another 2 years off making a difference. I was thinking the other night who is worse than them, Portland, New York, Toronto and Charlotte may not be i see them as good if not better next season. Atlanta are getting better but so are the other not so good teams, so i cant see them changing greatly. Even if we get the 8th pick i think we will find a player that is going to contribute and continue our dynasty after winning in 07 lol Another Suns Homer yes thats me

Re: Suns reportedly interested in trading up for...
I'd like us to get Morrison but not at the expense of Marion. His rebounding means too much to us. I wouldn't mind trading our two picks plus Barbs for the #2 pick. We're probably not going to be able to afford Barbs next year as it is... might as well get as much value for him as we can while we have him.
