Saer Sene Highlight Reel
This video has been floating around. Thought I'd post it for those who haven't seen him.
So, this is who we may want? Interesting.

Re: Saer Sene Highlight Reel
The guy has pretty good defense. Even though hes a 'project' I still say he would be a good pick at 21. In the Suns system, he could be scary good. Especially over time.

Man. He looked reaaalll good defensively in that reel.
I think if he did end up with the Suns, he would really reach his full potential as D'Antoni really knows how to develop foreigners.
Wouldn't mind him dropping to the Blazers...

Yeah, I'm not AS opposed to it if we do take him. I just hope he can contribute something next season.

Amare was a "project" too remember. This guy is 7 feet rippin point guards and is a rebounding and block machine. I didn't see his speed, but he looks like he can run ok.

Re: Saer Sene Highlight Reel
Wow, can you say another Dikembe Mutombo?
Looks like this guy actually has an outside thouch though. He hit both free throws easily.
With such a weak draft, I would not be suprised if he went before #21.

Re: Saer Sene Highlight Reel
yeah, that's why the front office is exploring any chance of moving up, because he could go mid first rd or even late lottery.

Re: Saer Sene Highlight Reel
Dikembe Mutombo was awesome because he had great lower body strength like Tim Duncan and was able to play outstanding one on one interior defense. Sene doesn't have that at this stage, which is the same struggle as Dalembert. They block a lot of shots, but they cannot always be counted on for one on one defense. Sene will be a foul machine in the NBA until he learns the man defense part.
I'd normally say it'd be three years before he even begins to contribute, but that learning curve always seems to be dwarved when in a Suns uniform. I like the pick, but would you trade two picks to get him?

Re: Saer Sene Highlight Reel
So, is it official that we'll be trying to get him? I'm kind of intrigued to get him on the Suns. Imagine him and Amare, to beast together. That would be cool. Also, maybe we could have Diaw play more point guard this year.

Re: Saer Sene Highlight Reel
Yeah, even though we're trying to move up to take him. I don't think he is worth 2 picks. I heard if we stay where we're at, we may just go BPA. But that is why they make a draft board with rankings for, you may not end up with your top few guys but you may end up with one...
I don't know about Diaw playing the point and guarding points, but he's pretty much a point forward/center already so.

He doesn't guard the other point guards. Barbosa would be the two guard. On defense Boris could guard the 3 and Marion could guard the 2 with LB guarding the 1. Remember Magic and Byron? They usually switches on defense.

No, I know he doesn't guard PGs but what he did last yr as our 2nd ball handler as a point forward/center was fine. I don't think we should put him in the backcourt though on offense

Re: Saer Sene Highlight Reel
Don't forget about Raja Bell guys. For all intents and purposes, it's usually Leandro that plays PG on offense. He brings it up and gives it to Diaw, and then Boris initiates the offense. So really the positions are traditional. But on defense, Leandro guards the 1, Bell guards the 2, Marion guards the 3, Diaw guards the 4. Same as offense.
