ben wallace has had 13rebs in a qtr during the nba playoffs and only ended up with low 20's.
that being said, marion is probably a lock for 20-20 tonight. which is obviously great. but u shouldn't presume he'll be exceeding his own best of 24

so many players are averaging ridiculous amounts of rebounding numbers so far to begin the season...come midseason everything should be regular with about a few players averaging the usual high numbers(Marion,Duncan,Howard,KG and Big Ben)

Maybe it's the new ball?

Actually its probably the fact that most teams are trying to take more shots, and so there are more rebounds to get, and a lot of teams are depending on one or two people for a lions share of the rebounding lately.
