Originally selected by the Suns in the first round of the 1984 NBA draft, Humphries, 44, spent the past five seasons coaching in the Korean Professional Basketball League in South Korea, as head coach of the Inchon ET Land Black Slamer and as an associate head coach for the Wonju TG Xers. The Wonju club won two KBL titles during his three years with the team.

Humphries had an 11-year NBA career (1984-1995). He spent three-plus seasons in Phoenix, averaging 10.8 points and 6.3 assists in 294 games before being traded to Milwaukee in 1988 for Craig Hodges. He later played for Utah and Boston.

Wow, I haven't heard anything about Jay Humphries in quite a while.

I'm thinkin' that he'll be a PG tutor for Banks and D.J. He was a heady guard, back in the day, a good passer, and every little bit helps.
