Title Chances
I know this has been discussed in various places here already, but still I'll just ask what do you think the Suns need to do to win a title?

Re: Title Chances
I think the most important thing is to keep from getting too high or too low emotionally. If they can do that everything else should fall into place.

Re: Title Chances
Another bigman, Diaw to step up, and testing Tucker as a defensive specialist (his ball handling is not yet NBA ready, so he will be prone to turnovers with his incredible drive; his drive is not as open as it could be until he develops a decent jumpshot. So we would only use [test of course to see how it works] him on those quick SG/SF guys for a few minutes, as Tucker displays great defensive lateral speed).
We also need quite a bit of luck, as all teams do, that none of our core players get hurt around playoff time. We had that last year, beside Raja playing hurt. I really think its ours to lose, all we have to do of course, is stop the defending champ Spurs, still powerful Mavs, new coached Rockets that will actually use Bonzi, talented Jazz, and the soon-to-surprise Hornets (not a threat to us, but will definitely make the playoffs in my mind) to even get to the NBA Finals.

Leandro was hurt in last year's playoffs too. I feel that him being hurt was honestly a much bigger deal than the Amare-Diaw suspensions, as if Leandro wasn't shooting 30% from the field, we would have been able to beat the Spurs either way.
Maybe that's just me though.

Re: Title Chances
Isn't making sure the payroll is low the key to a championship?

Re: Title Chances
I still think Suns are in a top 4 category. I'm interested to see what Dallas does, and how the Celtics trade helps them. Right now I think Suns are in an elite category. Even though they did lose to the Spurs, they should they could compete.
