Pistons Waive Flip Murray; Is He Our Man?
http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_ar...e_flip_murray/
With Flip on the market, is he our man? The dude is a scorer who can shoot. What were the Suns looking for? A scorer who can shoot. He looks like the best possible player for us if Barry goes to the Spurs.

I'm not so sure they were looking for a scorer as much as someone that could defend 3-4 positions, especially on the frontline, and be somewhat competent on the offensive end.

He's not much of a shooter. His game is taking his man one-on-one and driving. Sometimes ending with his nuts in the defenders face. See Kirk Hinrich.

Suns made it clear they weren't going to spend any true significant amount of $ when they signed Linton Johnson to a 10 day deal.

I think Cleveland or those greedy Celtics would be in the lead for Flip.

He was burried behind Stuckey. We didn't need two players that similiar. Flip handled the situation well, he is a true professional.

Re: Pistons Waive Flip Murray; Is He Our Man?
If Barry was younger, then I would take him. Ye you're right Diss about Sarver and Kerr not wanting to spend much more money than needed. Johnson, well I'm pretty sure he wont get more than 5 mins if hes lucky. I see us sticking to Boris, Barbosa, Skinner off the bench. Thought Skinner hasnt played much since Shaq arrived
