The future of Grant Hill???

Well I think it goes without saying that not having him for most of the playoffs really hurt the team.

Also, that he did perform pretty well for the team during the course of the season. Contributing 13pts, 5 rebs , 3assts and 1 steal and block per game.

He has a player option for next year of 1.9 million. Had heard a few weeks back that he was interested in staying with the team.

Feel like it would be good to have him back and at that cost it is not a big financial hit. Would probably like to see him used a little less during the year so he can be fresh for next years post-season.

I guess the question will be is he physically able to recover from his recent injuries (abdominal strain and groin issues)?

Anyone heard anything? I am sure it is still to early to tell.

Any thoughts?

Re: The future of Grant Hill???

If Suns want to give it one more go, then bringing back Hill is a no-brainer. But if they want to start getting rid of people, which is basically impossible, then that's a different matter.

Another year where a key player goes down.....not saying why we lost to the Spurs, but a healthy Grant would have made a pretty big difference.

I like Hill. I don't mind if he stays. He's been pretty healthy this year considering his history. Just bad timing with the groin injury.

Re: The future of Grant Hill???

My sixth sense tells me that Grant Hill is the next Kurt Thomas.

In other words, Suns will trade Grant Hill to Spurs.

Now if only we had actually traded him directly to SA. KT got to SA via Seattle.

Wonder if he feels stupid for not returning Phil's phone call.

Re: The future of Grant Hill???

Ye? At this stage, we need him more than you guys do, having Lamar and all. Keep Hill, unless if he decides to go along to a team with a higher probability of winning it all after seeing us falter this season, I don't know but hope not.
