I'm with you there. Moreover though this is a group predominantly made up of liberal arts majors, and, as an example, there is only one civil engineer (+1 student) among them... These aren't even the top of their trade... While they are academics, what makes unqualified academics saying something anymore credible.
Their scientific "heavywights" found here http://physics911.net/spine.htm, are actually a bunch of lightweights with educations from mostly lightweight schools (one in particular is a WashU grad, and although it's a great school, I can tell you first hand their physics department is weak).
Now if they had the support of several thousand practicing engineers (of the civil and mechanical variety), then you can talk about credibility.
Considering the sheer number of students and other academics (profs, etc), etc, it's actually surprising how small this list is, and moreover how little scientific support there is (considering every opinion will be bought into by some group)... This is a group of politically motivated, not "truth" motivated people it seems.
I see no reason to indulge this group...

As for BYU, they aren't an academic powerhouse in any event, but moreover the 2 or 3 physics profs there have been at the center of this conspiracy charge, and are hardly a credible source... Again, the lack of civil and mechanical engineers, even inexperienced ones is damning to this list's "credibility."

My favorite of these 'credible' people has to be the activist/retired flight attendant...
