This is really not that big of a deal compared to all of the complete bullshit in Ryan's speech last night. How could this dope try to put an auto plant closing on Obama when the plant closed down during the Bush Administration? Rest of the speech is pretty much at odds with any objective view of reality as well. It sounds like some talk show radio host wrote it.

The whole convention was a joke. The best was when Condi got up to bat and started with "You know, when 9-11 happened....." and I was like? Are you ****ing kidding me? It happened well over 10 years ago, and on your watch.

Problem is, the average American is still dumb enough to get excited about speeches such as that.

I'm in Texas today, you should hear those radio hosts now, Hannity had Scott Walker on and their argument is that Obama promised it wouldnt close and yet it did regardless of when and where and that's all Ryan said was that Obama promised it wouldnt (and the context be damned) - he promised it wouldnt be and yet it was, which kind of misses a few points of its own including the whole Mitty let the auto industry go bankrupt bit - and that's two Wisconsin politicians on the record

It just doesn't get better than this. I have advocated for years that the GOP's fringe is racist, and there you have it...two morons who not only exhibit such behavior, but direct it at a media representative in order to get full exposure as to their racist tendencies.

Not that the Dems are any better as a whole, but you always have to ask yourself two things when something like this happens: (1) How many others at the convention think like this but can hold their alcohol better, and (2) Would you ever see this at a Dems convention?

in reality the fringe is openly racist and some of them are even proud of it to the point that this kind of open display shouldn't be totally surprising, but a significant portion of the rest of the GOP is racist as well but not openly and its obvious in how they campaign appealing to that demographic.

all alcohol does is lessen inhibitions and often brings things under the surface to light it doesn't change the core person you are , if it already wasn't in you to do it , it wouldn't come out.

and i dont doubt that the democrats could exhibit this level of boorish behavior but its less likely to be racist in nature, there isn't much of a moral high ground for either party anymore.

I would wonder if the same thing were true about liberal extremists to be honest. I would have to look at how the science was done to know if that was a good hypothesis, although I don't need this guy to tell me there are a lot of dumbasses on the Extreme Right.

However there are quite a few conservative intellectuals, although most of them are more concerned about economic and foreign policy issues than with social ones.
