Why are people poor? Rinehart blamed what she described as "socialist," anti-business government policies, and urged Australian officials to lower the minimum wage and cut taxes.

I should have linked the article referenced in that link. It has far greater context to the story. Apparently this poor woman has been unfairly targeted by mining unions and the Australian government. It's just tragic.
