That's wrong. Nobody wins presidential debates, because there's no panel of judges. They win elections. Debates just show you how they act under the spotlight.

Does anyone else think there were some plants in the audience? There were some really biased questions, and there were some softballs. Like the guy who asked Obama "why should I be as optimistic in 2012 compared to 2008," and it gave the pres a chance to list his accomplishments. There was another guy who basically accused Obama of denying military support to Libya.

Obama looked like such a badass with the jet black suit and red tie. James Bond swag right there.

I know he's been coached to do so, but Romney really needs to stop saying "100%". When he says 100 you think 47. His campaign guys are ****ing up.

That's incorrect Chan, people do win presidential debates. You don't need a ****ing panel of judges present in order for someone to win debates. What you do need is exactly what you said in "debates just show you how they act under the spotlight." Yeah they do, and you take what they show you and come to the conclusion of who won the debate.

That's your personal opinion, and not a fact.

Presidential debates just reinforce your beliefs. People usually walk away from a pres debate thinking their guy won.

I could easily say the same, that's your personal opinion as well and not a fact.

What about undecided voters Chan? Do they watch the debates and walk away from them thinking "I'm more undecided now, yay."

Uh, no it's not my opinion. If there's no central authority to decide who wins, then there's no winning.

These debates keep misinforming people. Either everything Obama's saying is true and Romney is a liar, or Romney is truthful and Obama's the liar. Undecided voters are basically a coin flip, picking their guy based on personal biases.

Notice how Obama got angry when Romney talked about his day after the consulate attack. That probably had more of an effect on undecided voters than anything that was said. If two guys keep calling each other a liar, you tend to believe the angrier one.

Got this bad boy from the VP Debate thread.

Unless I'm mistaken or have Amnesia Biden/Ryan was a Vice Presidential Debate and unless I'm mistaken again it did not have any judges. Now I think we both can agree Biden/Ryan was a debate, if so Chan why did you say Ryan won?

Alright then Chan.

Whatever you wanna call this back and forth exchange on this page between us (argument? debate even maybe?) I just won.

Stick to football man, you're good at it.

Unless he was in a tux, Bond doesn't wear black suits. In addition, for the most part Obama doesn't wear black suits. I can't quite make out if this one was black or midnight blue or charcoal, but he looked nothing like Bond.

Re: Debate Night- Oct. 16

Yeah I said he lost because he failed to get any coverage from his own team (FOX). I'm also biased because I think he's a douche. There were people who thought Ryan won--CNN's poll had it like 48% to 39% in their test group. It's not an official poll, but it just goes to prove my point. Presidential debates have never swayed a Dem. voter to the red side or vice versa.

No ref, no boxscore, no winning. The 'boxscore' is the election results, not what you, me, or CNN says.

Romney was 100% defeated prior to the first debate.

There most certainly are winners and losers.

Man was just about to call upon the savior RStar and his input.

@Chan I rarely do these arguments/whatever the **** you wanna call em since everyone thinks they're always right, I just thought if I could get you to see you're contracting posts and what everyone else is saying (don't take that literal, I don't mean all 7 billion people or so on Earth) that you'd see maybe you were wrong, but oh well.

There's no winners or losers, except for Paul Ryan. In my book he loses every time.

I'm actually OK with Romney. I'm not voting for him, but I think he's an alright guy for a politician.
