No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

The rest is subjective. The voters get who they want.

I wonder if the Obama administration is going to mount a Supreme court challenge to legalization. As a practical matter I am in favor of decriminalization at a minimum, but I have no clue as to whether or not the Supreme Court would allow it or not. If it stands up the Washington model will get adopted in a lot of place, legalize it and then tax the mother****ing hell out of at every step up the chain.

If I were going to do it, I'd just go Don Corleone on the shit and take over the entire process. Get all those poor bastards in prison to grow it for free and sell the shit for 50 times what it cost me at state run retail facilities where you controlled everything.

The Supreme Court is too conservative right now to legalize or even decriminalize. But if two or three justices retire as has been rumored, then Obama can appoint Judges that are liberal enough to support decriminalization. Granted one of those Judges is Ruth Bader Ginsberg, who represents a liberal section of the court.

But when it does happen, govt. is going to tax the shit out of it. Gotta add revenue in a recession somehow.

I'm curious to see who will be next to put legalization on the table. The bill in Oregon only got voted down because there was no limit on how much marijuana a person could buy and possess. But it only lost by 30,000 votes. I imagine a slightly less liberal bill, like the ones that have a limit in WA and CO, will pass easily in the 2014 midterms or in 2016.

Prove that he is "a horrible failure as president." It is one thing to make a claim like this, its another thing to actually show it.

Just because Bush couldn't speak well doesn't mean he didn't have the intellectualism necessary to run the office. You cannot easily discount someone who was able to run the country for 8 years as someone who had a "lack of intellectual prowess."

Don't stoop to "wilt_the_stilt" level, please. Give me concrete examples to your position. I really think that "hit-and-run" comments such as this and the "retard" comment are not worthy of even responding.

If you want to make this a real political discussion about the merits and pitfalls of each president, then do so. But this back-and-forth nonsense "my guy is better!" just doesn't cut it.
