I think you need to dig deeper, and not just give me sound bites from conservative talk show hosts. Perhaps you also need to look in the mirror and say to yourself "Why do I really dislike Obama?"

Again, I didn't vote for Bush and I'm not a fan of his. And yes pumping taxpayer money into green energy is absolutely economic policy.

And cut the psychobabble. We both know you are not going to change your mind no matter what I say and I don't really need to explain myself to you. I could care less if your feelings are hurt over my insulting of Obama.

GM owes about 35 Billion I'd guess and AIG owes a quarter of their TARP money. Rest of it was paid back. That sum is vanishingly small in comparison to the cost of an economic collapse. Is that not true?

Paid back with funds the financial service sector got from the fed by dumping their toxic mortgages on them. Meaning that ultimately they "paid the government back" with money they got from the government. A resounding success. (And GM will be heading back into bankruptcy court soon now that the election's past.)

The dancer here is you, because for one the price ain't $50 billion (given that the financial service sector has shoveled a couple of trillion in bad debt on the fed). And two, one of those companies is on life support. And is headed right back for bankruptcy. God willing they don't save it this time and let it get carved up by companies with better mismanagement.
