Selfish? Why should the rich pay a higher tax rate than you do yourself?

What is selfish is to say "You make more than me, so you have to pay more to the government. Its your job to take care of us."

It should be equal for everyone. That's the only fair way. Why should the man making 5 million a year pay 38% and the man who works when he feels like it only pay 15%?

no, the rich are advantaged over the poor - which is self evident - and money tends to accumulate and consolidate in fewer hands

Because the rich have benefited from the system put in place to make them rich. Give back. I have no problem with the poor paying taxes in theory, but a problem arises when they can't support themselves. Not taxing below a certain amount is a better solution than a $15/hr minimum wage or even worse, mass homelessness and poverty.

This is how the people become rich.

AIG and banks as examples.

Let's say the top 1,000 employees. Each employees makes 2 million or more.

Overpaid let the AIG and banks lose $4 trillion. Then the government use the taxpyer money to grant them 4 trillion.

Overpaid means: Those guys should make $50,000 a year, not 2 million or more a year.

Obama deficit = military spending + AIG and Bank loss.
