Tax the top and tax the lazy
If you have more, you should contribute more. In my opinion, Rich needs to pay 90% of their income, so are the lazy.
America just needs to have two tax codes. One to tax the top (30% of people) and another to tap the lazy (30% of people) Lazy means the people who does not work but get money from government. Why should someone making 12,000 a year pay the same tax as someone making 12 million a year. If you look at other countries such as Sweden you'll see the benefit of wealthier people paying more tax. Americans get very little in return for their tax dollars, as opposed to European countries where students need not worry about paying for college, boarding, or working whilst getting an education, or graduation in debt.

Re: Tax the top and tax the lazy
Yes, tax the people who are getting money from the government...
Welfare doesn't exist anymore like Republicans like to portray it. Food stamps is mostly for poor families so the kids don't starve and is a tiny fraction of the budget; same for medicaid. Unemployment is essentially an earned benefit that is based on what you pay in, and runs out. Republicans also seem to be upset that the unemployed can get 70 minutes of free phone service a month, presumably because they think it's easy to get a job without a phone number. "We want a hand up, not a hand out!... no, you can't have 70 minutes of phone service a month... I don't know how you should get a job, just get one you lazy bum!" The people who take the serious money from the government are the elderly not the ****ing "lazy". Yes obviously tax the rich, and tax the more; remove or raise the caps on social security tax and the "impending doom bankruptcy" of that program is over forever. You know social security tax isn't paid on a dollar over $110,100? Yup. It's regressive and bullshit and about to be a government program that can't afford to help anyone; exactly how Republicans want it. |

Re: Tax the top and tax the lazy
I dont have a problem with moving the qualifying age for ss benefits back a couple years - people are living and working longer - and from what I've even a 2 year adjustment would make a big difference to the program's viability

Re: Tax the top and tax the lazy
No, they're broken. Sure a nationalized health care program would cut health care spending by families down $2-3k a year. The average family spends 4000 a year on health care.that's 10% of the average family's income. Add that to the 15% medicare medicaid taxes and the average household is paying out more than 25% to stay healthy.

Re: Tax the top and tax the lazy
US should cut down on foreign aid before raising more taxes on its own people. There isn't another country in the world that spends money like US spends money to countries that hate them no less.

Re: Tax the top and tax the lazy
Social security is fine though. Medicare/medicaid is where spill the money is going

Re: Tax the top and tax the lazy
Agreed and disagreed. You should cut down on foreign aid, but there also isn't a country in history who paid so little for taxes and complained so much.
