UPDATE: Bankruptcy Judge Approves Hostess Liquidation
Hostess Brands to Wind Down Company After BCTGM Union Strike Cripples Operations
Say goodbye to all those iconic snacks, twinkies, cupcakes, ding-dongs, etc. The bakery union basically sacrificed Hostess' over 18,000 workers to make a point, I guess. Pathetic. Then again, the company was in bankruptcy...it may have failed down the line anyway, but we will never know that for sure now.

Re: Hostess Liquidating Its Business
I wouldn't blame the union without knowing the full story. And I couldn't possibly care less about Hostess, so I won't learn the full story. Last time I had a hostess snack was probably 20 years ago. I don't know a single adult who eats them even semi-regularly.

Re: Hostess Liquidating Its Business
Because people have the right to collectively bargain to even the playing field. Maybe this is a case of the union doing wrong, but that seems odd considering the #1 thing they would want is to keep the jobs.

Re: Hostess Liquidating Its Business
Its America, there's plenty of companies to pick up the slack.
Maybe McDonalds will buy the rights to twinkies and make their buns with twinkie filling on their next burger.
