I had a bit of hope that Morsi would ally himself with Turkey and become a stabilizing force in the region, but he's now looking like just another dictator in the making.

Turkey is kinda/sorta the problem. Well, technically it's Qatar that's the problem. But they've spread it to Turkey & Egypt. And now they're trying to add Syria to the list (via Turkey). I am happy, though, that the opposition in Egypt is still strong, because if they can turn back Qatar's political machine there there just might be hope for the region.
