Good advice, Schilly. I got back from Shanghai Saturday afternoon, but while I was there I tried my first oyster (don't laugh, I'm not a huge shellfish fan), cucumber juice (actually quite tasty), seaweed salad (yum!), and octopus (YUM!), among other things I'd never dream of eating here in the States.
