In an attempt to hopefully deflect the potential derailment of this thread..
what is "plink with"?
I'm a city boy, I know bupkiss about guns. I have shot a 22 (woo boy!) up in idaho (and, according to my sometimes irrational gun hating uncle, I didn't clean it)..but thats it.
Im not a fan of guns, but I don't hate them. Don't necessarily see the point in having certain types (ak47? What fer?). My uncle, the gun hatin "liberal" (not quoting it as a bad thing, as I am one) kept telling me these stories as proof guns are evil..saying "so and so got drunk..shot his buddy...so and so got drunk, shot himself..so and so got drunk, killed his brother"...
so I said "you notice there's two similiarities there, right? Guns and drunkards. "
so anyways, what the hell is plink?

I have a sweet 50 caliber rifle that I use for hunting squirrels, woodchucks and other varmints.
I have a Striker-12 (aka Streetsweeper) which I use to blow massive holes in anything that moves.
I also keep a MAC 10 on the side of my hipm just in case somebody tries to steal my Alpine.

plink is ah like going to the shooting range and shooting at targets,cans etc.
the reason i want a ak47 is becasue theyre one of the most reliable guns u can have and one of the coolest looking to me.
