Re: Rosa Parks RIP
Wow. I just saw this on yahoo.
I have a pretty jaded view of America's values, but I definitly classify her as a true American hero(ine). It's not like she ONLY refused to get up out of her seat, as she's best remembered for, but had been fighting for civil rights before and continued to after that. My moment of silence and rememberence goes out to her and all the people she helped.
This is kind of interesting to me, because just a few days ago I was listening to Michael Savage (keeping tabs on the enemy, you know) and he was saying how before civil rights, whites and blacks got along better, before the liberals came in and ruined everything. He said he experienced this first hand in 1950's Harlem. I'm afraid alot of people listening to him will really take that to heart and undervalue the works of people such as Rosa Parks. Just my thoughts.
RIP
