Re: OT: Saddam found guilty?
It would be better if they hanged him today. We have to wait for all those appeals..........

Re: OT: Saddam found guilty?
It'd be better if they put him in prison for life someplace outside of Iraq. A life - rather than a death sentence, because you don't want to make him a martyr. And outside of Iraq because should the Baathists or Saddam-supporting Sunnis ever re-take control, you don't want a murderous (former)dictator freed by his allies.

Re: OT: Saddam found guilty?
Iraq hasn't been liberated, they're in a civil war and now the insurgents have a martyr. Expect violence to greatly increase and the threat of terrorism against America to reach an all time high.

While I am glad Saddam has finally been held accountable for his crimes I am not convinced that his death will do much to stop the violence occuring in Iraq on a daily basis.

Yeah, I guess the dancing bananas are silly. A much more appropriate gesture is REAL DANCING!!!

Thousands of Iraqis sang, danced and unleashed celebratory bursts of gunfire yesterday as Saddam Hussein finally faced the consequences of his tyrannical rule in a Baghdad courtroom.

Re: OT: Saddam found guilty?
Hey, I'd dance in the streets too if Bush was sentenced to death.
