I just heard on the radio that he was found guilty in court today (well, today for them)..and he'll be put to death by hanging.

It'd be better if they put him in prison for life someplace outside of Iraq. A life - rather than a death sentence, because you don't want to make him a martyr. And outside of Iraq because should the Baathists or Saddam-supporting Sunnis ever re-take control, you don't want a murderous (former)dictator freed by his allies.

Iraq hasn't been liberated, they're in a civil war and now the insurgents have a martyr. Expect violence to greatly increase and the threat of terrorism against America to reach an all time high.

Very improper use of the dancing banana....cheering for anyones death no matter how horrid they may be is just not right IMO. While I support the death penalty in some cases I can't support cheering for it's use. Especially when it is likely to cause additional unrest and violence.

While I am glad Saddam has finally been held accountable for his crimes I am not convinced that his death will do much to stop the violence occuring in Iraq on a daily basis.

IMO There is something wrong about dancing in celebration of someone's iminent death..regardless of the person, but I'll try not to spoil your party the day Saddam hangs.
