Dems take Senate..

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Republican George Allen of Virginia will concede the election for his U.S. Senate seat to Democratic challenger Jim Webb Thursday, sources close to the senator said Thursday.

A victory for Webb will give the Democrats control of the Senate, as well as the House of Representatives.

Many were predicting that the Dems could gain control of the house. But to gain control of the senate was an uphill battle that many thought was not possible.

This election was a worse drubbing for the reps than the 65 point loss the Blazers endured against Indiana.

Oh yeah, and O'Falafel has the perfect solution to the war in Iraq. You see, Sunnis and Shias just have to stop fighting and be all Iraqis together.
I don't claim to be an expert in Islamic history, but I do know that centuries of conflict don't go away because Bill Orally says to stop being mean to each other. Does he think he can end the conflict in Ireland by telling Catholics and Protestants to just play nice together?

He probably thinks we can end the conflict simply by telling them to "Shut up!" and cutting off their microphones.
